ABOUT MIKE MORAN

Songwriter, Vocals and Rhythm Guitar

Hard work, persistence, drive and dedication: these four things embody the emerging career of Michigan based singer/songwriter Mike Moran. It is hard to believe that Moran has distributed over 20,000 sample CD's, was named "Best New Artist," by the Northern Express, won " Best song of the Month" for "I Can't Make Everybody Happy" by Songwriter Universe in Los Angeles, CA all the while only playing the guitar for five years.

Mike has toured the Midwest consistently for the better part of two years, which has featured an opening slot for Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson at the Fifth Third Bank minor league ball park in Grand Rapids, MI. This past summer Mike opened for the infamous 80's legend Eddie Money at the Traverse City National Cherry Festival, and has also had a hit song " This is Good Bye" voted by the High School Senior Classes of Traverse City Central High School, Rochester Adams High School, Clarkston High School, and Davison High School. This has helped spread Mikes music not only in these specific area's, but has taken Mike's song to all the respected colleges those seniors plan to attend.

Since the day Moran first picked up his guitar he has compiled a diverse and exciting catalog of songs that features over 40 originals which often times are compared to Paul Simon, Dave Matthews, and John Mayer. It is in his diversity and down to earth style in both lyrical and and musical flavor, that have made him one of the budding stars on the touring circuit today.
